(Wed, 31 July 2013, the third game of this season's Kids Week), about 10 minutes in, the $600 clue in the category "TV TIME" was: GET MOM, DAD, BROTHER & SIS TO JOIN YOU FOR SHOWS LIKE "MELISSA & JOEY" ON THE NETWORK CALLED ABC THIS The correct response: What is Family? They appear to have only one feed for the four main U.S. time zones, so it will be shown simultaneously coast-to-coast, meaning it will be on at a *different* hour, local time, in each time zone. (Actually, the second showing in the MDT time zone is the same local time as the first in the EDT zone.) Any zone without daylight saving time will presumably start an hour earlier local time than a DST zone. -Adam Lieberman adamlny at earthlink.net From dcljr at obkb.com Thu Aug 22 04:24:19 2013 From: dcljr at obkb.com (Donald Lancon) Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2013 23:24:19 -0500 Subject: [clarissa] CEIA creator Mitchell Kriegman to write a Clarissa novel Message-ID: <52159273.6030802@obkb.com> 'Clarissa Explains It All' creator Mitchell Kriegman talks about an upcoming Clarissa novel he's writing, the failure of the follow-up 'Clarissa' CBS pilot, his favorite CEIA episodes, the clothes and set design on CEIA, the Clarissa & the Straightjackets CD, and other stuff: - dcljr From rmwhite11 at gmail.com Thu Aug 22 16:23:17 2013 From: rmwhite11 at gmail.com (Ryan White) Date: Thu, 22 Aug 2013 11:23:17 -0500 Subject: [clarissa] CEIA creator Mitchell Kriegman to write a Clarissa novel In-Reply-To: <52159273.6030802@obkb.com> References: <52159273.6030802@obkb.com> Message-ID: Thanks for sharing this link, Donald. It's a good interview. It's really telling that CEIA was ahead of its time with the fourth wall. Mitchell points out a couple examples of recent successes, and it's hard to believe CEIA was doing this twenty years ago. Strange to even type that out and read it back... twenty years is a long time. I'm looking forward to the book; I never really had closure with Clarissa as a character. The show ended while still hugely popular, the CN pilot was badly managed, and we were all routing for her. STTW took some of the sting away, but the Darlings were left hanging.
